Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential

Formally recognizing the value and specialized knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for those who provide community-based professional development to early care and education and school age programs and providers.

The Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential (T-TAP) is a credentialing process administered by NYSAEYC for professional development providers seeking a T-TAP designation. Trainer Approval serves as a quality assurance process for early childhood trainers. The Trainer Approval process allows professional development providers to demonstrate they have the necessary formal education and experience in early childhood and knowledge of adult learning principles to provide effective professional development experiences.
