Do you have an area of expertise that you would like to share with others? The Ask an Expert page on our web site is a place where students and others can go to email questions to those who have an expertise in a particular area. It is a wonderful way to share your talents with the field and network across the state.

You can pick the length of time you want to be available and the area for which you would be willing to be contacted.

Join a public policy committee?
We have both a statewide public policy committee and local public policy committee. Time (1 hour a month) and commitment to improving the quality of early care and education is the only requirement. Click here to contact the Public Policy Chairs.

Tell your story!
Our legislators need to hear about your personal experiences regarding the need for more compensation, child care subsidies, challenges and opportunities facing the field. Either write a letter (see above) or send an email to our Executive Director.

Do you have a great idea that would enrich the curriculum in your program? (We have $$)

Mini-grants are available to members of NYSAEYC, up to $500, for the purpose of developing and putting into practice projects designed to enhance programs for young children. If you would like to request a Mini-Grant Application click here.

Our organization depends on a combination of revenue streams to thrive in today's economy. Each and every one is critical to the continuation of our work.

Looking for an internship? (An educational experience you won't forget!)

Our internship programs are focused on the student's goals and objectives for learning. They are primarily project based and one semester in length or during the summer. Interns are paired with a staff mentor and introduced to the greater community depending on their focus area. Most internships are unpaid but the Association works very hard with the students and colleges to ensure they are college credit worthy. Occasionally, we do have a sponsored internship and are able to pay a stipend.

The NYSAEYC offices are located in Albany, New York. We welcome interns from all over New York State. We are currently exploring the possibility of long distance internships with work primarily over the internet and phone.
