Content Specialist

Content Specialist provide professional development in areas that contribute to quality early care and learning programming.  The professional development that Content Specialists deliver to early childhood and school age professionals is aligned with the New York State Core Body of Knowledge.

Content Specialist Trainers are approved to deliver professional development in one of the following areas:

  • Family and Social Services
  • Special Education and Related Services
  • Fine/Performing Arts
  • Technology
  • Health and Wellness
  • Safety and Security
  • Program Organization, Leadership and Communications
  • Laws and Regulations
  • Business and Finance

Getting Started

  1. Join Aspire

An active Individual Professional Profile on Aspire, New York’s Registry for Early Childhood Professionals is needed.  The process includes setting up an individual account as well as submitting documentation for verification.

NYSAEYC uses some of your verified information from you Professional Profile to help determine your eligibility.

2. Intent to Apply Form and References

Once you have an active Professional Profile and are registered as a trainer with Aspire, submit the online Intent to Apply form and 3 Content Specialist Reference Form.
